Mental Health Empowerment Day (MHED) is designed to empower all those who live and work with children and youth who are dealing with mental health issues, one of the most pervasive issues in the world today.
The goal of MHED is to provide concrete tools for participants in our schools, community institutions and youth programs who work daily with this population. Each of these frontline workers can play an active role in making the lives of our young people better. We also speak directly to parents, and help them to better understand how best to support their children. Through Mental Health Empowerment Day, we want to reduce stigma, provide a forum for discussion and give tools for action.
